A double shell cream jar features two distinct layers:
Outer Shell (Decorative Shell): This is the jar you see and interact with. It's typically made of thick, high-quality plastic, glass, or even ceramic, designed to look and feel luxurious and substantial. It has the branding and often has a heavy, satisfying weight to it.
Inner Shell/Insert (Product Chamber): This is a separate, usually plastic, cup that sits snugly inside the outer shell. This is where the actual product is stored. It is sealed at the factory with a protective foil seal or a tight plastic cover under the main lid.
The consumer never directly touches the product in the inner shell. Instead, they use the main lid to close the entire system.
